Fun Hub.

What is Fun Hub?

Fun Hub falls under NDIS Capacity Building support. We focus on enhancing skills, confidence, and overall well-being.

The session runs for two hours. It is informal and relaxed, with time for making a drink, eating and talking. There are games and a quiet corner if anyone needs a break.

We run two sessions a week in Balcatta, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and are looking to extend these sessions.

All materials are included in the low cost. It is open to both Plan and Grow members and non-members.

Who is Fun Hub for?

Participants attend with their Support Worker, or other stakeholder team members such as Behaviour Support Practitioners, Occupational Therapists and even family members.

We design activities that are accessible, meaningful, capacity building and within Participants budgets.

We look forward to welcoming you!

How the Fun Hub started

As a Service Coordinator, I often struggled to find activities that were accessible, meaningful, capacity-building—and still within Participants’ budgets. Nothing really fit the bill. So, I decided to create something that did.

That’s how the Fun Hub was born. It started as a passion project, driven by the simple goal of helping Participants get out, have fun, meet new people and learn new skills in a safe, welcoming space.

A place to connect, grow and thrive

I’m still involved every week and love checking in with everyone who attends. Participants often approach me with questions or just for a chat, and it’s become a great way to stay connected and offer support.

We also welcome stakeholder teams—Behaviour Support Practitioners and Occupational Therapists often join us to observe and carry out assessments in a relaxed, natural setting. It’s a great way to support capacity-building goals in a real-world environment.

More than just an activity

Over time, the Fun Hub has grown into a true community. We’ve hosted birthday parties with family and friends, and sometimes family members come along just to catch up with their loved ones. It’s become a trusted meeting place where Participants feel seen, heard and included.

Now, Participants look forward to seeing each other each week. They laugh, learn, and support one another—and that’s what makes the Fun Hub so special.
