What began as a small idea by Claire, one of our dedicated Service Coordinators, has quickly grown into a warm, welcoming space. Twice a week, participants can build skills, confidence and friendships — all while having fun. This program that not only fills a much-needed gap in the sector, but positions Plan and Grow as a provider that genuinely goes the extra mile. 

More than just an activity. 

Fun Hub is part of our Capacity Building supports and runs every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 1:30pm to 3:30pm at our Balcatta hub. It’s a relaxed, informal two-hour session where participants can engage in arts, crafts, and cooking — or simply enjoy some social time with a cup of tea. There's even a quiet corner for those who need a break. 

Everything is included in the low-cost fee — just $10 for Plan and Grow members and $15 for non-members. 

A welcoming space for everyone (including professionals). 

We welcome support teams to attend alongside Participants — including Support Coordinators, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and more. Fun Hub offers an ideal setting for observations and informal assessments, enabling professionals to support capacity-building goals in a real-life context. 

This relaxed environment often provides insights that a clinical setting can’t — and helps support teams form deeper connections with those they work alongside. 

Building community, the Plan and Grow way. 

The impact of Fun Hub goes well beyond its weekly sessions. It’s become a thriving little community where Participants feel seen, heard and supported. We've celebrated birthdays, welcomed new friends, and watched confidence blossom in so many people who walk through the door.
